ABOUT BRAZIL
Harvest Mission Brazil and Engage Missions will be working with the Quilombola People group of Brazil. This group is made up of the descendants of African Slaves brought to Brazil to work the many plantations in the Northeast part of the country. When released from slavery the people went into the jungles and hid, forming families and communities separate from the population. They continue to live isolated lives in villages and communities all over the Northeast of Brazil. There is an estimated 1.5 million people who belong to this people group.
Brazil is home to over 217 million people and over 160 unreached people groups. Engage Missions is partnering with Mike Owen and Harvest Mission Brazil in order to reach the people. Villages are being sought out for the gospel and Engage Missions will soon be sending a team to go do evangelism and discipleship in these villages.

That’s the word on my heart for this past year. All we do should be for the sake of His Name. We are here to make that name known and make that Name famous around the world.
This August, you have the opportunity to join Greenbrier Road Baptist Church in Brazil as we take the name of Jesus to the unreached people in the village of Bacuri. This village is hungry for the gospel and excited about our team working there again. They have committed to bussing in people from villages all around to join us in hearing the gospel of Jesus.

GO to help us reach all the villages. Our goal is to link families and churches to Quilombola villages to introduce them to Jesus through a simple storytelling method.
